About Patrick Schwerdtfeger, Professional Speaker

Patrick Schwerdtfeger is an author and speaker living in the San Francisco Bay Area. His background is in the mortgage business but his successful online marketing efforts led to speaking opportunities about social media, online branding and modern entrepreneurship, and that has now turned into a full-time career. Patrick created seven marketing-related CDs in 2007, self-published his first full-length book in 2008, self-published a second in 2009 and then published a third through Wiley (a national publisher) in 2011. He now spend 100% of his time speaking for groups of entrepreneurs, small business owners, commission salespeople and self-employed service professionals.

It all began with a podcast that took off and got downloaded over 75,000 times in 27 countries. The series was called “Beyond the Rate” and was all about the US mortgage industry. Patrick began recording those podcasts back in January, 2006, and it soon found a growing audience. By June of that same year, it had become the third most popular mortgage-related podcast on the iTunes Music Store. The experience clearly demonstrated the power of the internet and Patrick instantly became a believer!
